FORGOTTEN TECHNOLOGY CONTAINS MORE POWER THAN ANY INDIVIDUAL SHOULD HOLD
The year is 274 TE. Jaislyn is a cyborg. After being honorably discharged from the space force, she makes ends meet as a mechanic for other cyborgs. She and her brother Malachi manage the various bills, fines, and voluntary donations forced upon them by the government organization known as Central. Besides recurring pains from old wounds as a brigadier and her addiction to painkillers, Jaislyn lives an ordinary life.
When she goes to an abandoned alien scrapyard looking for spare parts, she stumbles upon forgotten tech that responds to her cybernetic arm, the arm her late father designed for her when she was a little girl. After the mysterious exosuit fuses itself to her, Jaislyn starts being hunted by increasingly ruthless mercenaries. As she goes searching for who has her name on a hit list, she discovers that the origin of her bionic arm—and her father’s involvement in its design—are more dangerous than she ever imagined.
Perfect for fans of Battle Angel Alita by Yukito Kishiro and The Ghost in the Shell by Shirow Masamune.
